Is there an age requirement to become a PCA?
To receive your PCA certificate you must be 18 years of age.
What curriculum is used to teach the class?
The curriculum used to teach this class is the one created by the Department of Medical Assistance Services 2003.
What assistance is available to help me secure a job after receiving my PCA certificate?
After receiving your certificate, you will be asked if you want assistance with finding a job. If you say yes, you will be given a list of places known to hire PCA's. You will also be added to an email list that sends out information about new opportunities.
Do I register for the in-person class now?
No. Your enrollment gives you immediate access to the online training. After completing the online portion, you'll receive access to book your in-person practical training.
When do I get access to the course?
Immediately after enrolling.
Is the online course self-paced?
Yes. You can complete the online lessons at a pace that works for you.
When can I attend the in-person training?
Once you've successfully completed all 10 online lessons, you'll be able to choose from the upcoming in-person training dates. When you select your date a $50 certification fee will be required at that time.
Are seats limited?
Yes. Each in-person training session has limited capacity. Completing your online training sooner gives you access to earlier available sessions.
